Frequently Asked Questions

Will I experience red marks around my eyes?

Individuals with sensitive or thin skin may experience indentations or red marks for a short time after use. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend using our Sensitive Skin Covers designed to enhance comfort and protect skin from irritation. Applying a gentle, skin-protecting ointment or nighttime moisturizer to the delicate skin around the eyes prior to use of your mask can also help.

What if my eyes still feel dry?

Tear deficiency is a common issue for those with dry eyes. To boost hydration, first apply optometrist-recommended nighttime gel drops or ointment before putting on your Blinkjoy mask. This step will help maximize ocular hydration and the mask’s effectiveness throughout the night.

Will I find sleeping with a mask uncomfortable?

If this is your first time sleeping with an eye mask at night, it may take some getting used to. Many customers have found success by gradually increasing wear time. Start by wearing the mask for an hour on the first night, then extend it to two hours the next night, and so on. Within one to two weeks, you should feel comfortable sleeping through the night with your Blinkjoy mask. Even if your mask takes some getting used to, stick with it—your eyes will be happy you did.

What if I am a side sleeper?

The tapered shape of our eye pieces improves comfort for side sleepers or those that toss and turn throughout the night. If your mask frequently becomes dislodged at night, try adjusting the orientation of the eye pieces to keep it secure on your preferred sleeping side.

How tight should my mask be?

Make sure to fit the mask snugly around your head (not too loose, not too tight) and adjust the eye pieces to rest comfortably over each eye. If you feel intense pressure against your cheeks or brow line, the mask is too tight.

Should I wash the silicone eyecups prior to use?

While the eye cups are made from 100% medical-grade silicone to resist bacterial buildup, we recommend washing them with soap and water before each use to remove any dirt or debris.

How do I clean my mask?

Your mask and eye pieces are machine washable on gentle cycles with cold water and a mild or hypoallergenic detergent—then air dry for 24 hours. Do not put your mask in the dryer.

How do I care for the Sensitive Skin Covers?

The Sensitive Skin Covers should be hand washed only to maintain their softness and durability. Allow them to air dry completely before reattaching them to the mask. Over time, the covers may become worn after regular use. We recommend replacing these covers regularly to ensure they continue to fit the silicone pieces and protect the skin effectively.
